KPMG is to create 500 new jobs over the next twelve months.
200 of the new roles will be for experienced professionals with the remaining 300 new opportunities available to graduates.
Shaun Murphy, Managing Partner, KPMG in Ireland said, “We are targeting professionals at home and abroad to fill 200 positions in the areas of management consulting, risk consulting, tax, audit, restructuring and transaction services.”
Murphy says: “In recent years, we have seen a lot of evidence of Irish professionals working abroad looking to come home. We can offer competitive packages as well as a challenging and rewarding career working with some of Ireland’s leading indigenous and multinational companies.”
According to the firm and despite the uncertainty caused by factors such as Brexit, KPMG is seeing positive performances in many sectors including financial services, aircraft leasing, telecoms, healthcare and utilities.
Shaun Murphy says: “Ireland remains one of the world’s most attractive locations for mobile international investment and we are also seeing more and more Irish companies scaling successfully in international markets.”
Commenting on KPMG’s plans to hire 300 graduates, Shaun Murphy said: “Key to KPMG’s success and growth is giving clients the best advice. That means every year recruiting the best and brightest talent coming out of our universities. KPMG remains the largest private sector recruiter of new graduates in the country and will be hiring 300 graduates who will join us in autumn 2017.”
The KPMG workforce has grown to 2500 up from just over 2000 in 2014. KPMG in Ireland provides audit, tax and advisory services from offices in Dublin, Belfast, Cork and Galway. The firm works with clients in all sectors of Irish business, helping ambitious companies and individuals make the most of opportunities through a range of audit, tax and advisory services.
